Autograph letter signed from Paul Stapfer, Grenoble, to Edward Dowden, 1879 December 14.

Stapfer informs the recipient that the second volume of the work on Shakespeare will not be ready before January 15. He also asks for Dowden's advice regarding the publishing of a translation of volume one of "Shakespeare et l'Antiquité," which has been thwarted by the "commercial scruples" of Mr. Kegan Paul. Also includes a typescript English translation.
